The premiere of the video for the composition „Heartbeat“ musical composition EYOT announced a fifth album called „557799“ which will be released on October 23, 2020 for the American publishing house “Ropeadope”.
This title of the album represents a rhythmic scheme in bars of five, seven and nine eighths, which are in a way the basis of traditional music in the Balkans, but also more than that, because it represents the life and history that has always been turbulent in this part of the world. : “It is the rhythm of our heart.”
The music video for the song “Heartbeat” had its premiere on the “YouTube” channel of the band EYOT, and then on the portal „National Geographic Srbija“, where the editor-in-chief Igor Rill, among other things, says: “In eight minutes it is possible to fly over Nis, go into the wilderness, and a music-inspired question about nature and our place in it lasts much longer.”
They are directing the video Emil Keser i Dejan Ilijić, post-production, drone and camera shooting Miroslav Mitic and Vanja Keser with executive production Dalibor Popović Pop. About the work on the video and its final form, the frontman of the group Dejan Ilijić says:
“Despite all the problems and limitations we had due to the current situation, we are extremely satisfied with how the video looks in the end, and judging by the reactions, we did a good job. In a way, we follow up on our “Concert for Nature” – we showed a certain kind of game, intertwining, the conflict of nature and civilization, and finally a return to nature and the rhythm of life that it determines for us, which we may have forgotten. We will continue to record and the plan is to make videos for all the compositions from the album.“
After the release of the first single of their new album, they found themselves on the most important jazz playlist of the digital music listening service “Spotify”, which has recently become available for users in Serbia.
“Spotify may have a bad reputation due to unfavorable payments to authors, but it is inviolable in terms of promotion. Playlist „State of Jazz“ where we found ourselves, there are almost half a million listeners from all over the world and the interest in our music has grown sharply. Also, we share this list with the big names of the world scene, and it is not easy to become a part of it and it will certainly be useful for us when arranging performances at festivals and clubs. “
